Budget Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite could be yours for a whole lot less

Budget Samsung Galaxy S8 Lite could be yours for a whole lot less

The  may still be too pricey, so Samsung appears to have an alternative on the way in the Galaxy S8 Lite.
Yes this a Galaxy S8 Lite, not and S9 Lite, yet that is what has leaked on the FCC and TENAA certification centres.
Since it has appeared on both we can expect the phone to launch internationally, and soon.
The phone, going by the name SM-G8750, appears to be an affordable version of last year’s Galaxy S8. Since this still has the Infinity Display plus that glass and metal build, this could be a very good deal.
OnePlus is expected to announce the high-end OnePlus 6 smartphone on May 16th with a relatively meagre price of around £500. This Galaxy S8 Lite could be Samsung’s answer to that.
The only external difference between the S8 and S8 Lite that can be seen from the leaked image is the lack of heart rate monitor on the rear.

This new model even has a Bixby button on the side for quick control of Samsung’s AI voice assistant.
Internally the S8 Lite specs are weaker than the S8, according to the leak.
The screen is still a 5.8-inch Infinity Display but the resolution is limited to 2,220 x 1,080.
That rear camera isn’t the 12MP unit found on the S8 but a less advanced yet higher pixel count 16MP sensor – something found on Samsung’s budget A series phones.
There should also be an 8MP front-facing selfie camera accompanied by an iris scanner for facial recognition.
The usual two processor options are present with an Exynos and Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 both at up to 2.2GHz and backed by 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage
